Tie-Dye Statement Bracelets
Make a statement with stackable, chunky bracelets that require no sewing! Create a fun tie dye technique using Simply Spray® fabric sprays, mix with wood beads and arrange for fun arm candy!
Step 1: Gather your supplies.
Step 2: To get the tie-dyed effect, apply Simply Spray® sporadically on the bandana. Untie and repeat with additional colors. Use this video for tips on using Simply Spray®. Set aside to dry.
Step 3: Cut the seams off the bandana and cut into strips. Tip: Make the strips wide enough to fit around the beads when wrapped.
Step 4: Using (1) strip, thread one end through a bead. The beads should fit snug so they don’t fall off.
Step 5: You will now alternate between a fabric covered bead and a regular bead. To create a fabric covered bead, place a bead in the pocket of the fabric. You want to make sure the brighter side of the fabric is on the outside.
Step 6: Twist the pocket closed so the bead is completely covered.
Step 7: Thread another bead on to secure.
Step 8: Cut off any excess material and tie the ends together to complete your bracelet.
For an alternate pattern, we wrapped all the beads in the fabric except for the 2 end caps. We will use the string to secure them closed.
Step 9: Thread a piece of string and bandana strip through a bead.
Step 10: Follow steps 5 and 6 to create a fabric wrapped bead.
Step 11: Use string to secure the bead in place with a knot, by wrapping the string around the separated section and tying a knot.
Step 12: When the bracelet is the desired length, thread a final bead onto the end to secure. Cut off the excess material and tie the ends together to complete your bracelet.
We were able to make 4 bracelets with one bandana!
